Region We Cover

The Inland Empire Fire Safe Alliance (IEFSA) serves Southern California's expansive Inland Empire region, encompassing approximately 27,000 square miles across San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. This diverse area includes urban centers, forested mountain communities, and dynamic desert regions, each with unique wildfire challenges and needs.

Our coverage area includes:

Urban Areas

Supporting fire preparedness in densely populated cities where the wildland-urban interface (WUI) creates significant risks.

Mountain Communities

Promoting defensible space and wildfire mitigation strategies in forested regions prone to rapid fire spread

Desert Region

Addressing wildfire challenges in areas that combine growing residential communities, vital infrastructure, and sensitive natural habitats. This includes working with communities to mitigate risks from wind-driven fires and reduce hazards in arid landscapes.

By strategically locating our seven board members across these varied terrains, we ensure that every community in the Inland Empire receives representation and tailored support. This approach enables us to unite stakeholders, fire safe councils, and community members in collaborative efforts to enhance wildfire preparedness and safety.

Through strong partnerships with local fire safe councils, governmental agencies, tribal organizations, and environmental groups, we work to protect lives, property, and the natural beauty of the Inland Empire. Together, we are building a fire-resilient future for this diverse and dynamic region.
